Booked by French friends we went to see for the weekend during our week’s stay in Normandy. Quaint country style atmosphere Three course set menu with choice of five dishes in each for €24. A kier at only €1.70 and a lovely 2016 Cotes de Rhône at €14 meant a gastronomic meal at a reasonable price. After ordering we received a lovely maison bouche which was a good starter in its own right. We all went for the same starter a selection of sea food dishes crab, fish, crayfish, Scallop wrapped in bacon, and another dish. Three of us opted for the steak which was so tender. Probably the best meal I have had in years.
We are here 2 nights in a row as it was so good. The food presentation is to the standard you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant everything we ordered was excellent, simply the best food we had ever had. The service was perfect the restaurant is very relaxed, and they were very accommodating to the dog. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, it was definitely the highlight of our holiday.
I love this place. I’ve made several visits over the years, and it always excels. The food is creative and brilliantly cooked. The building is awesome. The wine good and cheap. And the staff? They just couldn’t be more welcoming and charming. But it helps if you speak French! Lunch with wine for 11€? Incroyable!!
Recommended by the owners of our gite for Sunday lunch. Friendly and efficient service. Good food and wine from a sufficient but limited menu. At 26 euro for three substantial courses my gourmet fish starter was enormous! it was very good value. We will go again this Sunday.
