La Tourmente Montalbert

Sat at bar and had a couple of drinks. Was a little concerned that bar staff hugged and kissed friends as they came in without washing hands before serving next customer. Then they went outside to smoke. We decided to have one more drink. Bar staff did not wash hands after returning from smoking, picked up my glass and took ice from ice machine with fingers!! So not only is my drink now contaminated so is the whole ice machine. Normally this wouldn’t have bothered me vodka can kill most germs. I decided against drinking my drink and left. But in the current Coronavirus pandemic we all need to be very careful especially after what has happened in Italy and Austria (see Ischgl apres ski bars)

Large bar downstairs with restaurant upstairs divided into two: low roof on side where we were seated, unsure about other side. We all had the two dish selection i.e entrée and main course at € 23 or so: we all took the half duck breast which was tasty don't recall the dessert. Friendly waitress, good ambience and reasonable food.

The down stairs of this place is really homely, roaring fire, very comfortable, friendly staff very informal. The upstairs is a lovely restaurant. Four of us ate their and we all enjoyed the food. We have since popped in for a drink and had excellent cocktails beer. Would certainly visit again.

We have not eaten here this season however, the bar is very friendly with a log burning fire and a pool table. The restaurant is upstairs. Happy hour is a great time to visit too for cheaper drinks.

Good place for drinks, pool table, log burner, seating area. Well stocked bar with fair prices, happy hour makes it really cheap. Food mediocre so maybe just stick to drinks!
