La Venus - Tisch reservieren

of us struggled to find a restaurant open on a Monday evening September and we came across this gem of a restaurant in Prayssac. Now none of us can speak French and the menu was in French but between using google translate,...our hands and the very best efforts of the superb waitress, we all ended up with fantastic meals at a fantastic price. of us had the beef steak which was cooked to perfection, had the red mullet and the other had scallops prawns. We all agreed the quality of the food was just excellent served by extremely friendly welcoming staff. We were so lucky we came across this gem of a restaurant! Oh and we had well behaved dogs with us (we sat in the outside area for our meal) and the people in the restaurant made sure the dogs were given water. I would highly recommend this restaurant, even if your French is not good, you will work your way round the menu.

We ate here as a group of five one evening. The weather was warm so we sat outside, the area is pleasant enough but really just a patch of land which is close to the road. Waitress service was friendly and efficient. The set menu...had just enough choice for everyone. Their Fenelon Aperitif was excellent but let down by some hard toast with the pureed olives. The food itself was mixed. The chef had a heavy hand with the sorbet accompanying the otherwise excellent gravlax. People who had the steak thought it rather tough. The scallops were fairly tasteless ?frozen. Desserts were good. Presentation throughout was good and the price very reasonable. A pleasant enough restaurant but not yet up to the high standards of other nearby establishments. Worth a visit though for their value set meals.

For dinner- A la carte might be the best option. Instead, I chose the menu at which included Foie gras and the risotto aux truffles and duck (margret) at an additional Wasn’t what I expected at all. Risotto was al dente with...little truffle taste and the duck ranged from well done to rare. The foie gras was just ok. For dessert I had berry coulis= that was tasty! And HUGE Overall I’d give it an average rating. However, my companion had the menu at Salmon as a starter and cod as the main and apple specialty. His meal was exceptional. Shoulder shrug

Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get that far. Asked for asked for a table for and was shown a set table but it was half in the sun. So we asked if it was possible to sit at one of the...tables that were not set and just been vacated. The answer was no. And he was quite happy to let us walk out. Unbelievable. We won’t be returning

Fancy yet simple. Meals come out so nicely and so good... and the price! OMG!! I couldn't believe it was so reasonable. We went for a celebration. Excellent. You drive by Prayssace or if you live here but haven't been, GO! You won't regret...it!
