independent, local and quality makes this caffe from the rest. at our first visit to this recently opened caffe, we look forward to both the attentive staff and the beautiful Harlekin China. we ordered a light lunch and a cup of tea for two and decided to pass on desserts. Now until I went to pay the theke and in the corner of my eye was a series of desserts that didn't need much to change my mind and we ended up a few with thicker cream. at the talk with jo, she informed us about events planned for the future, including evenings with tapas, which are switched on and off in a breathtaking courtyard. jo also mentioned fine evenings with a set menu. everything sounds very exciting and we wish jo and her personal all good for 2020!
a beautiful little tea room with not so run the mill delicious tasty (mini cheesecake! apple cake cut to name just a few favorites, although the lemon cake made for all house to die) sweet tass a serious pot of decent tee, not to mention beautiful owners and friendly helpful staff. also on the upper floor there are more sitting opportunities and a few tables outside to see this coming and going to the people directly at the corner in the winter sun. what is not to like!
A wonderful little cafe, with all the usual hot and cold drinks. We each opted for coffee, to complement a scone. Don't underestimate how easy it is to get scones wrong. I am pleased to say Langhams gets them right, light with a super texture and slightly warm. The coffee was good as well. Staff were brilliant and lots of space between tables. We need to return to try the other cakes and treats that are available.
Visited today for the first time,we had a pot of tea which was huge,also a baked brie with French bread and salad which was very enjoyable.Will certainly call again when visiting Stowmarket.
