Maybe I was unlucky or I’ve got ! written all over my face I didn’t feel welcome in this place and found the bearded chef to be really rude despite my warm and friendly behaviour.. he’s the one with the beard in the photo...with the dog. I felt like I was being judged when I walked in and I politely asked about a dish, only to get a nasty attitude in response. My starter and main course came at the same time and were barely luke warm. The meat was overcooked I’ve eaten out in a lot of varied places and am quite well known in the area. I also cook a lot of various cuisines at home myself. This was very poor quality and an unenjoyable experience. What was worse is that the waitresses, although polite, were not able to understand my English properly. Except for Mr. Beardy.. the staff were really nice, including the old man who owns the place. It’s just the bearded guy who has a problem and a moody attitude. I don’t think he knows what customer service means. I wasted my money here and felt really bad. The funniest thing is that I’ve tasted far better street food in Hounslow for much less. What a disappointment. I definitely won’t be going back. It didn’t taste fresh at all.

Lara Restaurant is a Turkish barbecue and meze bar. Their mixed kebab dish comes neatly wrapped in a large piece of pitta bread that helps keep the meat warm and is aesthetically pleasing as well. The mix of meats includes lamb, chicken, kofte shish and...chicken wings and it was all truly delicious – so much so that I can’t decide which of the meats was my favourite. The meat comes with a complimentary, colourful salad and on the side we ordered rice, which was tender and tasty, sarma and borek. Sarma is vine leaves stuffed with rice, cooked in olive oil, then cooled in a lake of Greek yoghurt. This dish was a bit bland and left me feeling indifferent. On the other hand, the borek – filo pastry parcels filled with feta cheese and spinach – was divine; the contrast of the savoury cheese and the slightly sweet filo pastry works really well. A fantastic meal at a reasonable price and delivered on time by Uber Eats. I heartily recommend.

We ordered a platter to share' via a food delivery company (as the restaurant is closed at the moment due to Covid It was amazing! Very tender and well cooked. I ordered it with rice and salad. It came with a buttery flavoured rice...(different from the usual basmati rice you buy). It was very tasty also. All salad was packaged separately in small containers. Sauces arrived in small pots. Presentation was very well. Most if all the taste was great. The whole family enjoyed the dinner, we were full and even a small portion was left. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Very average quality, looks like mousakka has been rewarmed in the microwave and not freshly done. Fast food.

i was feeling bad i asked for a paper napkin they told me no because i hadn't ordered anything. inhuman!!!!
