Las Palapas Callaghan

The food was decent, the prices very reasonable and the staff was kind. However, I was eating my food while trying to figure out where to apply for work and school here (I?m new to the area) and 5 different waiters came by asking if i wanted them to take my food. I said ?no? but mentioned I might want some dessert in a little while. I initially just thought they were being attentive but then I left my booth to use the bathroom and came back to some other people sitting in the booth?!? I went to the counter and they had all my stuff in to go boxes and asked if I was still interested in getting a dessert and that they could give it to me to go?. I would have understood if the restaurant was packed but there was available booths and tables. I feel like it was kind of rude. That?s never happened to me before lol. The food and reasonable prices make it worth eating here, but like, what the heck?

Try the stuffed avacado as a light meal!! I tasted and loved the Chicken al carbon stuffed avacado. I've also tried the veggie stuffed one and both are delicious. I had the chicken soup it hit the spot even on a hit super day. I say it should be named chicken rice soup because that's all it had in it, a great portion in the bowl size I had leftovers for the next day. We also ordered the Carne asada taco plate and the meat was soft. I always love ordering the fresh lemonade it is perfect with my meal. Although tea has free refills the lemonade does not but I still oder another anyway.

I personally asked you to order what the dish of Tacos had and she only explained that we had caso fresco and avocado never specified that I had it tomatoes and onions in the actual tacos and I hate onions and I again told them the order that I wanted only the meat cheese and rice and sour cream no avocado and as you can see that they could chopped me Larissa tomatoes from him

We went to late lunch and the food was amazing as always. I've been in Las Palapas for about 16 years and love the food every time. Usually I get the chicken soup, but this time I tried something else and everything was still perfect. The service is always amazing and very personal. I always go back to this restaurant

Stopped from here before my flight home to Los Angeles, delicious authentic Tex Mex cuisine. the Mais Tortillas are homemade and very tasty
