We used to use this restaurant in the past and it seems to have been taken over and refurbished. Modern and stylish and also has outdoor seating for a more casual vibe. The daily menu is E22.5 for 3 courses, E18.50 for entrée et plat and E16.50 for plat et dessert. We both had the crevettes to start; these were very good, served on a dish of cracked ice with mayonnaise on the side. My husband ordered the fish of the day for his main which was delicious but surprisingly was served with rice and frites; rice, along with the veg would have sufficed. I ordered the confit de canard which unfortunately was really greasy, the skin wasn't crispy and the frites were also really greasy. The ratatouille was OK. A 50cl pichet of rose cost E9. The pizzas on the next table looked really good. This restaurant is fairly expensive and needs a bit more attention to detail i.e. cheap kitchen towel in the toilet, no finger bowl or wipes with the crevettes, a long wait to pay as the owner was chatting!
Outdoor seating is good for lunch and there are umbrellas available if it's not too windy. High chairs for kids and helpful staff. Burgers are really good (surprisingly), seafood platters and conquille st Jacques. This is just opposite the Pen Guen beach parking lot and probably better that the restaurant directly on the beach.
We went here one night for dinner and were treated like our presence was unneeded. This was surprising considering all the other pleasant and friendly staff we found in Saint Malo... Food was average.
Used regularly for nine years, never let down. Great for sea food. Lovely ambience, but I don't like the new table cloths, which seem unbecoming of such an otherwise fine restaurant.
