Visited this restaurant many times before, however, our last 2 visits last week were very disappointing. On our 1st visit l had a steak that l couldn't chew. On our 2nd visit we waited 30 mins for our starter, and 1 hour for our main course. When we drew this to the attention of the lady Manager she flew off the handle in French, when l explained to her l couldn't understand what she was saying, she then shouted in English, l have only got 1 pair of hands, they clearly did not have enough staff. This is very disappointing as we have enjoyed meals here before.
It may not say a great deal to make this the best restaurant in Peronne as there is not a great deal of competition. So best to say is possibly the best in the region. Booking is essential which is always a good sign. Exclusively French patrons is also an excellent sign. Extensive menu, good wine list, good beer choice. Great service friendly and good humoured. So all round excellent. Easy to recommend.
A great chef. Surprisingly large wine list. Nice outdoor seatings on a small treeshaded aquare with view to the castle. Most ingredients are truly local and it tastes! Great meat. Our capaccio was splendis as was the typical french andouille sausage. And with that a rosé and a cote du rhone red. In a summer night. Relaxing and nice.
We went there for an evening dinner with colleagues We could choose want we wanted with a large (but not loo large) choice of dishes. We asked for a special dessert based on ice cream and we got it without any reluctance… People are lovely, served in time with style ! If I come back in Péronne I will definitely come back
