Le Bistrot d'La Chaine

I was in La Rochelle just for one night with my two children on our way back to Spain by car. we were really tired because we had travelled more than 400 km that day. We were walking in the touristic area of the old harbour and we pretty much enetered in the first place that looked nice. I was not expecting too much given the situation. What a pleasant surprise! The place is very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The "formule" is very good value for money with a very good selection of dishes. I had the Fish "Parrillada" which was really well presented, tasty and filling. My cgildren had the fillet which was perfectly cooked and guarnished with well fried potatoes. I was the only one having dessert and the "Soupe the fraises" was frech and tasty. The owner and his wife were really nice and helpful while serving the meal.I certainly recommend it if you are in La Rochelle.

And yes, we are closer to haute couture than cooking, although... Even lately arrived in the early afternoon, we were very well received by the team. The kitchen: everything is fresh, made home and with love, it feels so much in the fries! The chorizo mussels are a killing, those with idem cream.Thank you to all for this very good time.

slightly away from the more touristic streets this little street full of small terraces of resto is awesome. everything is done home the plates are copied the prices are correct. ancv accepts . atmosphere and atmosphere to the top !!!

very good restaurant close to the towers. kitchen with fresh products and even fries are homemade. service is pleasant and attentive. We recommend this restaurant.

It was by chance that we fell on this restaurant because the others in this famous alley were complete. We were well received and served with generous plates.
