Le France Brasserie

Arles is a wonderful old Roman town steeped in both architectural and artistic history a delight for the traveller. Because it attracts so many visitors there are lots of good restaurants offering lots of choices, however stay away from tourist square where the main...objective is not serve good quality food, but charge tourist prises! On our last visit we discovered a classic French Brasserie off the tourist track, not far from the train station. It is called Le France, and serve very good food from the large charcoal grill. Our entrecote was cooked to perfection, with excellent red wine, and price was reasonable. We will return!

We wandered around when we followed the van Gogh trail, and suddenly it was lunchtime, and it looked like rain, so we were moved in here. It turned out to be a good choice. We had the record du jour (only the main course) and... it turned out to be very good. Pizza was also possible and there was a separate kitchen. Soon after we arrived there, the place was quite crowded, so many must be known in Arles.

Visited this restaurant again and wasn't disappointed. Great food and friendly staff. Food is always fresh and homemade. Recently been decorated inside too. Great place and so close to train station and town will definitely be back.

Have visited this place a good few times over recent years,always great food and value.Now under new ownership,some nice changes to the menu,and a great Host,pizzas are amazing for a light lunch.

In seven days in Arles, we've eaten almost every night. Always inviting, quite decent brasserie tariff, highly recommended.
