Restaurant has beautifull garden terrace, and carribean entourage, where we were not allowed to sit. Do you have a reservation? No sorry, we just arrived in town. Next time you should make a reservation! Ok, but can we get something to eat Here? Without joy...we were guided to an inside table, sitting in the smoke of the outside smokers Food was a mixed bag: burger was ok, fish salad was terrible, warm fish and Rice mixed with (by now) cooked salad. Madam was happy to point out it was clearly a matter of taste (ours) and had no empathy. If you have an option, do not go here as there must be better options in this nice town. As we where just passing trough, sadly we won't know.
Having been in the village a week we almost missed this decent restaurant as the tables are in the garden at the back. The frontage belies the green oasis once you pass through the bar. We had salad and coffee with a nice bottle of...wine. The atmosphere was buzzing wih familes and couples side by side. The waiting staff were attentive despite the very busy service. The meals were large and filling and included lots of interesting tastes.Well worth spending a long lazy lunch in a surprising environment.
This is my favourite local restaurant, offering a little twist on local fare. The food is really well presented (the cocktails are bonkers) and the interior is the right side of strange, with a turtle pond in the middle and a few pirates here and...there. It may look gimicky, but the menu is full of superior offerings. The manager speaks perfect English and is wonderful at her job, so if you have any problems she'll fix it in a flash. I truly miss this place when it closes for winter.
I have visited the Grain de malice several times this year and the food was always spot on, with great service even without booking on busy nights. The cocktails are a highlight with a high level of presentation, although I only have eyes for the...mojhitos.
