Le Grand Bleu - Tisch reservieren

Over recent years we have visited this little restaurant in Tenerife during our annual holiday. The food is always very good quality and they also experiment with technology, previously you received your menu by iPad and now it is done by linking through a bar code scanner. To be honest our main concern was that the menu rarely changed and we weren’t sure whether to go back or not. Happily there was a significant update to the menu with some lovely new additions. That said, the seafood tower which my wife particularly liked has gone….you win some you lose some. I have to say, despite the changes, I chose from the specials board, a beef carpaccio and a venison main which was delightful (I didn’t expect to see that in Tenerife). The wine list is extensive and we found a very nice red to accompany our meal. My only criticism is the decor. The chairs are showing deterioration over time and I am surprised that they haven’t been changed. But, we go for the food and that was splendid.

Food was bland and uninteresting. I had the second most expressive item on the menu and it was ridiculously little. Other plates were big portions for far less. By far not enough for a main course. When i complained the cook said well it was fine cooking. They could easily have added some potato gratin and salad. Garnish was a minuscule pear in red wine. No apology, no regret nothing. Then the waitress offered us a dessert. I asked is it complimentary. Yes she said. Later it was on the bill and she claimed not to know what complimentary meant!

Visited this restaurant three times during our recent stay in Costa del Silencio. It’s been a favourite of ours since before Covid and it didn’t disappoint on this trip either. The highlight was the Beaujolais Nouveau evening, with five courses of delicious food, and music by Tony Rigoleto. We had a lovely time in a convivial atmosphere and enjoyed some great food and wine. Definitely not a night to miss! Would recommend this restaurant, and hope to be back ourselves very soon!

Lovely coast path restaurant with superb food and service. Interesting menu with lots of choice. Our hostess was exceptional. Highly recommend if your in Las Galettas which is not exactly exhilarating.

Been coming to this wonderful family restaurant for a few years. For quality food, excellent service and a friendly atmosphere you can’t go wrong.
