The restaurant used to known as Pam Pam and is now le Grange Canal (or GC). It's situated practically facing the "Grange-Canal" tram stop (the 12 line) and is a little ways out from the center of town.I've been over for a lunch a few times as it is very near my office. It's popular with the office corwd (and some students from the International School across the road) so it can be quite crowded and noisy during lunch time. There are 2 parts, the "bar" and the "restaurant". The Restuarant has the fancy napkins, table cloth, etc, whereas the bar area is very basic.There are usually 2 "menues du jour" available, between 17 and 20 francs. It comes with a large plate of salad. Otherwise, they have a nice selection of burgers, served with different types of bread, from 14.50 to 17.50, served either with fries, roesti, depending n the the type of burger (the roesti comes with the Swissburger, no surprises there).Service can be a little slow depending on the crowd, but it has never been a mar issue. The waiters and waitresses are polite, helpful and professional.So, all in all, I'd say good value, and good atmosphere.
After writing my original review under Pam Pam, I discovered the restaurant's listing under the new name. What follows is my recent original review....This restaurant still appears on Trip Advisor under its previous name Pam Pam. It is now under new ownership and name La Courbe du Goût, Café Restaurant de Grange Canal . The proprietors are two brothers and they offer a varied menu of salads, antipasti, seafood, pasta and meat dishes. They welcome their customers with a smile and a handshake. For the after 5pm crowd, generous and tasty bar snacks are offered on a complementary basis. This restaurant bar happens to be my neighborhood hang. Relaxed and friendly. I recommend it highly. Gestern gingen wir zum ersten Mal zum Abendessen, obwohl wir ein paar Mal zum Mittagessen und zum Nachtisch hier waren. Wir haben auf TripAdvisor gebucht und wenn es nicht 30 % Rabatt gäbe, würden wir uns wahrscheinlich für einen anderen Ort entscheiden. Im Vergleich zu Orten in der Gegend etwas überteuert, aber das Essen ist köstlich und die Desserts sind gut. :
It was hot, the grandparents wanted to relax and this was close to where we were. The staff were bubbly and friendly but spoke no words of English which was only a problem for my grandma. Overall it was a very nice outside space with comfortable chairs and nice staff and I look forward to having dinner here sometime.
