Okay well there are two different results or marks given for this wonderful place. (Excellent 5 and Average 3) I have combined them into a very respectable four stars. The Hangar is a bit of an experience you won't want to miss. It is a large building which is like an Aladdin's Den encompassing a restaurant. I will start with my review of the shop area. Shop five stars.....excellent!This part of the Hangar is top notch. The produce is first class and the variety a sight to behold. The wonderful and mostly homemade produce includes a wide variety of homemade biscuits, chocolates, cakes also bottles and jars containing an array of ingredients. Too long to list but they include purees, infused vinegars and oils, sauces, spreads, chutneys and confiture. I think the prices are high but in fairness quality has a cost. Biscuits however seem to be their main speciality. The counters around the central reservation is covered in displays of all sorts of goodies including sweets and chocolates. There are baskets of homemade marshmallows to the left of the main counter, bottles and jars of all sorts of wonderful produce can be found on stacked shelves around the place. It also has home ware items and oddities not commonly available elsewhere such as unusual clocks, tableware, bags cushions etc. All very good stuff and browsing is an absolute delight. We purchased several things and the highlight of the products we purchased were the homemade biscuits and jars of fruit puree. The other thing to mention is that all of these homemade items are made on the premises. There is a large kitchen with glass walls so you can observe the exceptionally clean, modern and very busy kitchen. I think that is very reassuring. Confidence to let the customers see the origins of some of the lovely produce. Its also worth mentioning that they have boxes available at the main counter so you can go around the shop and choose items to fit in the box and then when you go to pay they will gift wrap the box and make it all look fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful. The queue can be long though as gift wrapping takes time. Restaurant 3 stars. There are two reasons for the slightly lower mark. The restaurant is clean, modern, and designed with a fresh and modern decor. However the high walls and large windows allow the sun to blaze in unhindered so if you are eating and it's sunny it feels like a scene from "close encounters of the third kind" when the spaceship lands and the light blinds you. This really needs to be addressed as many diners were squinting to look at the other guests on their table. Not just one or two but several tables were affected. The second thing is the menu. Most meals seemed to be potato based. There were some nice salads however too but very simple menu but the food was okay. The meals are not complicated and were produced within two minutes of ordering. Plentiful, tasty and good enough but not a four or five star. Dessert were a little limited and did not look that appetising so we declined, deciding instead to buy freshly made biscuits from the shop counter. All in all I would highly recommend this place and also add that you should allow yourself plenty of time to browse and of course to make purchases. I would imagine the restaurant gets pretty busy so also allow time to get a table. I have attached some photos of both the food and the shop area. I will be going again, and so should you! Enjoy!

First things first: there is plenty of parking, either directly at Le Hangar, or next door in the old railway station car park, where there is more shade. Next is the cornucopia that greets you as you go through the door. Lots of their own biscuits, of course, but also other local produce, a very good selection of wine and beer, and when we were there, a spotlight on Spanish products such as fish and oil. Ahead is the glass window, through which you can see the people busy making the biscuits. Beyond is the cafe, with a high ceiling, sofas, tables and chairs - and the most amazing selection of home-made cakes. We had elevenses there twice during our week and on both occasions the baked goods were amazing. We also had lunch after doing the walk that starts from the old railway station and works its way round to the Hortensia Trail beside the Lac du Duc (highly recommended too, and not strenuous). The dish of the day that we fancied had run out by the time we got there but if you can get the lunch menu, it's a real snip at €12. Instead, we chose from the salad menu and were not disappointed. There are a few outside tables with umbrellas for the sunny days. Only downside was the service, which seemed a bit overwhelmed although the place was not full.

Very good food, large portions, freshly prepared, even the skins are taken off the tomatoes for the salads .They have a small menu, about 6 salads,6 baked potatoes with various toppings with sauces (not your normal baked potatoes )they also have a daily menu well priced, with 2 to 3 choices for each course.wine is served by the glass, but you can also buy a bottle of wine that they sell in their shop and pay a small corkage fee.For dessert they have a selection of tarts, daily dessert, and of corse their chocolate brownie. You can also pop in for a coffee or tea.

Had a very nice lunch here, small menu choice but then the dishes are obviously all freshly made. Cafe Gourmand pud was great, excelent value with (I think) 6 sweet nibbles. It's a big airy, modern factory-loft style room, very different for the area, which is great. Not that many tables, but filled up by 12.30.Have had mid-morning coffees here too, a bit more expensive, but they give you 1 of their biccies with it...
