The wife and I ate here last month. We arrived simultaneously with a violent thunderstorm. It was quite some sight. Surprisingly, the wife had Ravioli but I choose the local delicacy 'Saucisses aux Lentilles Vertes du Puy ' (hence 'le puy ' in the name of the town). As the rain lashed down and the heavens roared, service was pleasant and efficient while the food was excellent. To accompany the dishes, we chose their wine of the month, the name of which regretfully now eludes me; but it was lovely too. This establishment also doubles up as a wine bar, so after a romantic meal you have the option of moving to the bar section, which is eloquently decorated. Le Pey is an interesting town and we 'll visit again. 'Le Majestic ' would certainly be on the list for a repeat visit.
What a treasure of a restaurant, from the street it looks quaint however inside the ambiance and decor lovely. The young male waiter who served us was friendly and accommodating with the language barrier, he was a pleasure. The food was beautiful and well priced. If you are after a good quality restaurant in Le Puy that is reasonably priced, look no further...
We came here on a Friday night and to our surprise they offered a daily menu. In our home country, this kind of excellent deal is only offered at lunch time. We took the tuna for 10 euro. It was excellent. There are many other restaurants with a better location, but this one is definitely worth a try.
Myself and my husband had dinner here recently and both enjoyed our dishes he had steak and chips and I had vegi pasta, followed by a creme brûlée each we could not find fault with any of the dishes and the waiter was very friendly. A jolly nice atmosphere with lots of locals alike. Would recommend.
