Le Mekong - Tisch reservieren

I visited Le Mekong during my most recent business trip. I'd considered going on numerous previous visits to Challans but always ended up to going to the restaurants my supplier had already introduced me to.My knowledge of the French language is rather limited so don't let a lack of language skills put you off. There was nice friendly welcome. The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere with nice decor. There is no English menu so I used google translate for a little assistance. To be honest, I could understand enough to order without it.The food was superb and I could tell it was freshly prepared. I had the prawns in batter to start and a beef curry with Cantonese rice. Seriously worry a visit if you're in the area. I will be be returning!

Our visit to Le Mekong was well worth it.Inside the decor was very good clean and stylish.The waiting staff were very smart.The food was presented on Japanese plates with lovely designs,really pretty.Food was very tasty and presented attractively.The house wine was well above average.The service was a little slow for a lunch time but the whole experiencewas pleasant, I will be going back again and would recommend it.

In my experience in France there are very few non-French restaurants. You have to go to the big cities like La Roche sur Yon to find an Indian as we know them in Blighty. Yet in Challans you can find Le Mekong which has a variety of eastern foods. You can choose from Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese or LaotianWe had the 25.50 € set menu and a bottle of Tavel Rose at 20 €. Total 71 €. Or £58 for two people.

Warm welcome, comfortable atmosphere, freshly cooked food with delightful flavours, every course a treat, -- and that was the cheapest menu! We will be back very soon to explore the many other reasonably priced dishes.

It was a pleasure having the dinner here. The staff is great and also the quality of the food is without doubt amazing.
