We were tempted by a shady table under the arcade for a light salady lunch on market day (Thursday). However, this turned out to be a poor choice. Service was very slow, despite the fact that the sole waiter was rushing about incessantly. He had far too many tables for one person to manage, and was overstressed. He dropped one meal (fortunately not ours) right by our feet, and broke a glass on another table. He had clearly perfected the technique of avoiding all eye contact. Some potential customers got up and left as they had waited too long before being able to order. Eventually we were able to order, and received our salads in the course of time. The "salade niçoise" was a big disappointment - lots of lettuce, but not much else. A scattering of tuna, several anchovies and olives, hard-boiled egg and 2 small slices of tomato didn't seem to be very good value for 13€. We decided not to order desserts as it had taken so long to get served. In conclusion, this restaurant accepts far too many customers for the staff to cope with. We would suggest hiring an additional waiter on market day, when there is always a high demand.
