Le Petit Rozell

Le petit Rozell creperie is the best place for crêpes that I found in Brittany or anywhere else in fact (except maybe for my mother's). The restaurant is charming and has an old pressoir that was used to make cider back in the days and...was transformed to make a large table, really beautiful. Something also worth commenting on is the place is spotless. We received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the owner Bernadette who took us to our table before returning to the kicken. I started with a ble noir (also sometime called sarrasin, buckwheat in English), plain with butter, it was perfect, crispy but not impossible to fold and full of that distinctive ble noir flavor. Then on to the froment that I also ordered plain with butter, a master piece, thin, sweet with a perfect balance between the crisp on the edges and softness in the center. As I was enjoying my plain crêpes my nephew went big, starting with a Norwegian ble noir smoked salmon and sour cream and his second a complete ham, cheese, egg with tomato and onion both were to die for, DE-LI-CI-OUS!! Bernadette uses the best products and makes almost everything fresh herself. To finish our evening we ordered a couple sweet crêpes a soleil a salted caramel/banana and for the grand final an duchess's Anne with vanilla ice cream, home made chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Alex waited on us and did an excellent job. Bernadette mentioned setting up in the next couple days her beautiful terrasse for the summer and doubling her space. We didn't make a reservations but it is strongly recommended and specially in the seasonal months. Everything was great.

Visited with friends who didn’t really want crepes as they had been disappointed previously. They were surprised by the variety of the menu. I visit often and now my friends can’t wait to go back.

Just about every type of crepe you could imagine. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food. Comfortable homely surroundings. Ample free parking nearby.

Most classical, traditional crepes. Very good combinaisons that you will love. Very nice people. Britanny at its best.
