From the minute you walk in to when you leave - excellent service, excellent staff and excellent food. The owners believe that only fresh, local ingredients should be used, and this is very evident in the food. As a starter the table shared a plate of smoked fera (whitefish) from Lac Leman/Lake Geneva, trout and a selection of other tasty morsels. As fresh perch was not yet available, we had the most sublime trout with a champagne and morel sauce for dinner with a selection of roasted vegetables, salad and frites. Dessert includes classics such as fondant au chocolate, lemon sable, profiteroles etc. All deliciously rich and wicked in a very good way. We had a fantastic evening with fantastic food. When back in the region will definitely return. If you are staying in Geneva, you can take a boat across to Tougues. In the summer months it is imperative that you make a reservation.
If you have the chance to enjoy a meal by Lac Léman on a fine summer evening, there is no better place to do so than at Restaurant du Port de Tougues. The location right by the water, the splendid sunset views, the freshest fish, excellent sides and desserts all combine to make for an unforgettable experience. Service is always professional and attentive. A favourite spot for filets de perches. Tables are few so book ahead!
I had eaten in this lovely restaurant on several occasions and had been very pleased with the cuisine (fillets de perches). It is still very difficult to get or even reserve a table.I found my favourite dish (fillets de perches) had not been prepared correctly and the fish was not as fresh as I had expected. Moreover the prices had increased,now Euro 34.50.
Very close to Yvoire and much better that any restaurant there... stop here for a perfect meal with beautiful view, and a nice service! Book for reservation is almost mandatory ;)
