"A local recommended this new restaurant and the food was great. I enjoyed the escargot with Andouille, not too garlicky but buttery. The lapin was tender and sauce was just right. The pistachio ice cream and fruits was really good with different flavors, but was too much - should have been shared. The menu is supposed to change frequently so every time is a new discovery. I'd go back here in my next visit in October."

More than 24 hours into our day, after our flight from Boston to Paris, we were tired, hungry and without a reservation for lunch. Amilly is a pleasant and unpretentious village, and as usual, the Michelin Red Guide led us to a charming and gracious restaurant. The welcome was sincere, the service efficient, and our three course meals delicious and fairly priced. Like the decor, the closer you looked at each course, one can be impressed with the balance, intelligence and insight of each dish. With more miles to drive in our tired state we opted just for a glass of wine each and a large bottle of Badoit. Back to the road, with our batteries slightly recharged, we would welcome the opportunity to return. For a small restaurant, the menu choices were ample and there were other dishes we would have been pleased to try. The portions were quite ample but not excessive.Street parking is rather limited; but there is a central square lot just a block and a half away. We suspect nearly all of the happy patrons were locals-and we well understood their contentment.
