We quite often try out the restaurants in this area to then recommend to our clients..Years ago we lived in Le Touquet and almost every day after school used to go to the most friendliest shack on the beach . These people unfortunately opened up elsewhere and Le Sand has replaced it...total opposite of what it used to be..yes, it only used to be a little shack with tables and parasols..now, the place looks pretty smart and location is glorious..but the service was terrible...we were happy waiting for a table to eat with drinks (which were finally served after about half an hour or more...to then be told when tables became available that is was too late to eat now ! now apparently that was just a joke..but we felt it was a chore for them to lay the table for another family lunch..we waited a further 40 mins to be asked what we would like to order with no drinks ..no excuse by this stage , most people had left , so not exactly rushing off their feet ! Food was ok..nothing special..wine was nice (once we got it ) and view , as always in Le Touquet was lovely...shame..as we would use this spot regularly..but not to be treated in this way...Early morning coffee okay..we did this one morning before we had lunch...no body on the beach..so good place for a cuppa in the morning..hopefully , this being the second year of business..they may get the hang of it for the summer...fingers crossed
We stopped for lunch here on a long journey between Normandy and Belgium. Le Sand is right there on the beach, gorgeous. Music is reggae and is quite loud, but sets the ambience. The special salad I had was goat cheese on croutes and smoked duck. It was really good. Service was a bit inattentive.
We spent a beautiful few hours on a lovely sunny (23c) day with our feet in the sand and a cold glass of wine in our hand. We found a seat easily at lunchtime on a Monday and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful view sat on the deck chairs, it made my day!
Lovely spot right on the beach. It was bustling when we went for lunch. Plenty of staff and all very friendly. We both had chicken cesar and beer; very nice. Everyone around us was having fun. Would recommend!
