I know we are tourists and I definitely know we are not in Italy. But this is not a reason to be rude; let's say it otherwise, not a reason to have bad manners. We are in Lyon now and most of roads are blocked by the French farmers. So our moves were limited and we walked from our hotel to the closest restaurants area. The menu looked descent and prices reasonable. We sat and were given the menu. After a long 15 minute wait (when you are hungry)' my wife ordered a Salade nicoise. And added: No anchovies. The server looked at her like there was one thing wrong with her, a bad look I must add. I ordered a Penne arrabiata, because I enjoy this meal, and a Cote du Rhone with water.Another 15 minute, which is reasonable and he, the server put a plate of tagliatelle with a red sauce on it. Without objecting, I told him I ordered Penny and he replied:we don't have any Penne. For me Arrabiata mean with spices, from spicy to suicide spicy, but at least, put in some spices. They forgot to purchase some Penny and they also forgot to purchase some hot peppers. It came with 4 different pieces of bread, for me it meant the left over from other tables. Just a little detail you might say, however, the bread was not fresh. In any case, we finished our meal and left without a smile. A terrible supper.I might sound or look snob, which I honestly try to avoid. The server came back at the table with a knife and a spoon??? Totally inaccessible. The plate was a real noodle plate with an incave for the fork to turn the noodle with your fork: so you don't need the spoon and why the knife? An insult. Yes we are tourists from America, we are not stupid because of this. He came back to the table to pick up the Parmasian cheese without saying anything. Never came to the table to ask if we liked our food.Sorry Le Venezia, first and last time. Never again. We were both very disappointed.
