"A brief visit for a drink but a lovely place. We've eaten here in the past and the moules were fresh and delicious. As another alternative to eating at Cite Europe and for a slice of authentic France, it's hard to beat."

This restaurant was recommended by friends and having driven past many times at long last got an opportunity to visit.Very wet Sunday night turned up without reservation but very friendly lady found us a table in a very nice cosy atmosphere.Typical chalkboard menus but we chose a la carte which was excellent - crab, scallops, sea bass !Wine list quite short but more than adequate and reasonably priced - Sancerre excellent !If I can find somebody to drive I will definitely return.Reference to previous reviews - good restaurant wine prices bear no relationship to proximity of Channel Tunnel same as in England and proximity of Supermarkets!Another point to bear in mind is that the Cote d'Opale has lots of marvellous restaurants and is very very popular in the Summer with locals and especially Belgians so restaurants can be very busy so don't expect fast food service !

Such a shame that this quaint little restaurant is serviced by such surly staff,it really spoilt what should have been a pleasant last night of our holiday, and so unnecessary. The food was ok,however they must get a good deal on the mussels as they were all so tiny, and all I can think of is that when caught they must be graded on size with the small ones being the cheapest. The wine is fairly reasonably priced considering how close it is to the Eurotunnel and is popular with the Brits on their last night before heading home.

The service was slow and rather unfriendly. We asked for a fish soup which was so-so and le menu du jour. The fish was completely tasteless and fried in old oil. The accompanying salad consisted of two leaves of lettuce... When we asked for the bill they charged us for coffee that was supposed to be included in menu du jour. All in all, it was a disappointment.

We noticed this place on our way to the cap Gris-Nez. We called to make sure they could accommodate us for lunch and they were as welcoming in person as they were on the phone !! Great food, great service even on a busy high...More
