Le Vermeilley - Tisch reservieren

We arrived at this place after walking from La Givrine in Swtizerland. It takes about 1.5 hours and Le Vermeilley does not look at all impressive as you approach. That is because it is not an impressive building! The accommodation offered is a couple of yurts next to the restaurant.As you walk in the bell on the door announces your arrival and so there is no turning back. The restaurant has a large open fire (no grate or protection) and two long tables with benches with a few chairs. It is a very quirky décor with massive cow bells and moose heads hung up.The waitress who served us had better English language skills and attitude than the Saint Cergue tourist information. She was helpful and took time to explain the menu. Despite having a large group of French hikers in the restaurant she made us feel very welcome. The soup we chose filled the bowl, was piping hot and was served with bread.We could have settled in for the afternoon with some wine and more good food in the cosy warm atmosphere. It is a walkers' refuge which is like something that you would find in the Himalayas. The toilet did not even have running water (!) but it still will remain one of the best finds of 2017 for me.

Cadre sympa, rustique à souhait mais un peu plus de propreté serait bienvenue (bouteille et carton sous la table). Longue attente pour une croûte au fromage pas terrible avec un pain trop grillé pas facile à couper et peu de fromage pour CHF 17.-, ça fait cher le kilo de pain.Par ailleurs, belle balade pour accéder avec les raquettes surtout lors de la pleine lune avec des excursions organisées, mais pour la gastronomie il y a mieux.

C était un petit paradis ou la fondue était excellent et l accueil simple et chaleureux pour un bon rapport qualité prix.C est devenu hors de prix avec en plus des proportions de fondue qui elles aussi ont fondue. C est vraiment dommageUn peu plus de propreté et un retour aux prix et proportions d avant est urgent

Réserver pour 12, étions 9 serrés autour de la table, et avons dû payer 10CHF par personnes manquantes. Procédé douteux et extrêmement malhonnête compte tenu que toutes les places dans la yourte étaient occupées.Nous n'y retournerons plus!
