We visited Lavaur, which is an attractive town, with some pleasant shops and ample free parking. We stopped off at Le Vieux Marche for lunch. We plumped for the starter and desert as we only wanted a light lunch, some shade and a drink. Charcuterie was excellent, the crudités a little bland and unexciting. Two cheeses served as the cheese desert. Pleasant bottle of Estandon rose and a coffee Di shed the meal lightly. Pleasant and attentive service. Obviously popular with locals as it was quite busy at lunch time. Great place
We found all the local produce we wanted. Specialties we found were foie gras and sugars. People were friendly and helpful in our choices. There was even a stand set up for tourism information.
