Le XII - Douze de Luynes

Over a twelve-night trip in France with a bunch of food geeks, it is a safe bet that you will experience some wonderful meals. This can create a bit of a problem, though, when those geeks start arguing over which restaurant was best. Safe to say, though, that Le XII was one of the ones being fought over. Our evening here in one of the troglodyte rooms of the restaurant was absolutely amazing, with each course being offered up with a "you have GOT to try this!" The staff was amazing and took excellent care of us - if anyone tells you French are rude, simply laugh at this idiot and tell them to dine at Le XII where they look after all of our needs and the chef provided us with amazing flavor after amazing flavor! Will definitely be on our short list for the next time we are in the Loire Valley!

The welcome is warm. .the room is sober, flatizing.. (old style) the tables are sour, without fantasy about this meal. we have opted for the degustation menu ( 4 dishes and 4 glasses in relation to the dish)..This decouvert menu is "decided" by the chef for us it will be the total surprise .and we have not been decus .de l dessert to the excellent entrec. The wine is very well blended with the dishes..The waiter has been very clear in the presentation of the dishes .really a very good time and inviting I am obliged to zapper the qualite price report...To finish if you want to digest the center bourg is to browse

It is always a pleasure to come to lunch in this establishment. friendly and attentive staff, and especially a very competent leader. Quality ratio outstanding. 31.50 € for entry, dish, cheese plate or dessert. Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Waiters had the perfect balance of friendliness, efficiency, and attention. Did a search on the chef after dinner and he has had some recognition in the restaurant circles. What a gem in this small, sleepy looking town!

We heard so much about it that we tried once. There won't be a second test. slow and approximate service. No surprise kitchen. for a high price.
