Les Boucaniers - Tisch reservieren

We (family of 5, children 5, 9 and 11) arrived here for lunch the day after we had arrived after a long drive from the UK, none of us having eaten a proper meal since the day before we left home and we were starving, to be told that there were no tables available (there WERE some empty tables) and that we needed a reservation. So we booked a table to return for dinner the following evening as the restaurant was right next door to our campsite, so very convenient. I am glad we did, for the food was fabulous, the children all loved their meals and so did we, the steak was great and the desserts were sublime! We enjoyed it so much that we booked to return there the final night of our holiday and had an equally good experience that time also. But beware, from our experience and others too looking at some of the reviews on here, you CANNOT just rock up at this restaurant and expect a table. They get very busy due to the stunning beach location and if you want to eat there, book a table in advance. It is well worth it, the food is great and reasonably priced.

Having stayed nearby for 5 yrs on holiday and visited frequently whilst here in France I was utterly horrified to be seated on a packed hot sunny deck full of happily eating french customers and told loudly that 'no' we are closed. Clearly not closed and after being told by a young waiter that he would bring a menu to us shortly I was somewhat surprised to have a senior lady come and tell us that they stopped serving food at 2....40 mins previously....even though meals were that second arriving on nearby tables and the French family adjacent to us had menus and we're just about to order!!! My son was so distressed and we were so embarrassed. I politely asked if we could just have a drink, as it was very hot and my son was thirsty again to be met with a loud, abrupt 'no'. All the while being stared at by many many french onlookers. Whole experience was disgusting. Clearly refused because we are English and it's a Sunday when most locals are having their lunch.

We had no idea it was Assumption day and strolled in from the beach for an early evening meal, not that well dressed as you can imagine. As we hadn't booked all of the terrace tables were booked so we were inside, and the atmosphere was a little lacking and became quite hot later on. However, we all ate a good meal - food was good but not fantastic and comparably priced to other restaurants in the area. It would probably all have tasted so much better had we been sitting on the terrace next to the beach, but there you go. Serves me right for not booking!! Would definitely go back though.

This restaurant is set right on the beach and serves good quality, good value food. We were there on a Saturday night and were glad to have booked earlier in the day as it got quite full. Only one half of the outside deck gets evening sun but if it is a warm day that doesn't matter at all - the view is superb (though I wouldn't want to eat on the outside deck if the wind were up). We don't go for "clever" menus and the menu here was a delight for people wanting good, yet simple, food. Reasonable prices, friendly service, fair wine list. We will be back!

Every time I come to la Forêt Fouesnant, I go to this restaurant. They serve excellent food and a great price with amazing drinks. Plus you are right on the beach. You could not have a better location. Careful, they are not open throughout the entire year. They are open during spring, summer and part of the fall season.
