My family group of four called in for lunch on the first Saturday of the French holidays with a mission to kill several hours before being able to access our nearby accommodation. We were given a good table on the functional terrace. The menu of pizzas and grills is attractive and reasonably extensive. Three of us went for the plat du jour, a seafood brochette. The fourth meal was a pizza. Service was quick and friendly and food generous in quantity and tasty. A nice selection of wines was available. Our pichet of local rose was fresh, fruity and excellent value. Maybe not fine dining but for a pleasant lunch this restaurant did the job.
Aisde from one truly excellent restaurant in Saint Cannat, the town has never offered much choice for dining, so I am delighted to have discovered Les Braises Rouges. My dinner, grilled loup and a carrot soufflé were well prepared, and the house wine, Chateau de Beauprès from Saint Cannat, is one I like. My husband chose lamb kidneys which suited him fine. The service was friendly and professional and there 's a large parking lot just in front. The carte offers pizza that looked fantastic, and grilled meats, chicken, etc. We paid about 40 euros, including 2 glasses of wine and service. Will certainly return soon!
My wife and I have eaten lunch at this restaurant on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The quality is excellent, price very reasonable and staff are great. A nice big covered terrace means you have a chance to sit outside They do lovely steaks but the Plat du Jour is also very good and I recommend the cafe gourmand for dessert. Its usually relatively busy since its popular, so best to book, but also worth a try on the spur of the moment.
Very good restaurant near Aix en Provence. The grill is outstanding, the service is impeccable. The quality of the products is very good. We didn't order pizza, mainly because the restaurant is known for its grill, but the pizzas looked very good. We'll try them next time.
