My husband and myself visited les coupoles (The Domes) Italian restaurant in Perigueux SW France for my Birthday on May 4th 2016 . This being our 3rd visit to the restaurant. Previous visits with some of our children and their friends and partners. As well as our previous visits the restaurant does not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful. And it is always busy. We go after 8pm and it starts getting really busy after that. We have never booked and have managed to get a table each time. However if left much later than 8.30pm you might not get a table.dependant on what day you go. Staff are always very friendly and we would highly recommend the restaurant as a place to have a meal. They have a great menu and excellent food too.
My third visit and possibly my last. We ordered the special formula the starters we OK (my partners ham panna cotta was odd) but the veal steaks were quite possibly the worst cuts of meat i have ever had - shocking! After two bites we knew that we had to order a pizza instead, the pizza was fine, tasty and I would definitely recommend the venue for pizzasThe dessert was lovely, the red wine oddly sweetAll in all a very odd experience. The staff however are lovely, and the setting outside is very pleasant.
We were looking for an inexpensive lunch after splurging at Michelin starred restaurants. What a pleasant surprise. This was one of the best meals of our trip. Just outstanding food. The salmon and the carbonara pasta are to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I ate here twice during our stay in Periguieux. The food was great, the staff was great, and the ambiance was great. We had salmon, lasagna, and chicken. It's popular so we went early (which we would have done anyway!)
