Our hotel mentioned this restaurant when we asked for dining suggestions prior to our arrival. I was a bit skeptical because it was a 15 minute taxi ride and there are SO many restaurants within a stone's throw of our hotel. Well, IF you like french bistro food be prepared to be transported to that special place! The decor is perfectly charming,: narrow, dark woods, small tables and a long bar. The menu is perfection: fresh mussels with frittes, prawns Provençal, Alsatian tart, cassoulet, etc. Fantastic french wines and the prices are very reasonable. Ambiance a 10, menu a 10, service a 10. It really doesn't get any better. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Vancouver.
We came here for our Son's and his girlfriend's birthdays. The table was perfect. Right at the entrance which was private with a lovely view. The service was excellent. The drinks were fun and very enjoyable. The food was outstanding. We all ordered different starters and mains and everybody enjoyed their meals. The portions were not shabby at all and perfect. We also had desert and I could eat their chocolate mouse until nothing is left in their kitchen. It's soooo yummy with coffee.Definite yes!!! You have to dine here.
Went here for our anniversary and everything was delicious! We had the Pork rillette, Goat Cheese Salad, Canard Confit and Steelhead special. Flavours were spot on, rich and sumptuous. Beer and wine selections were lovely and Creme Brulee finished it all off beautifully. This was on par with many of the little bistros we went to on our Honeymoon in Montral and Quebec City. The food was quintessential French food done simply and well. We will be back!
I am French and I wanted to bring my Canadian friend to this restaurant so that he discovers our specialties. The meals were delicious and waiters so welcoming! I think it's one of the most delicious and affordable French restaurant in Vancouver !
