My husband and I went on a month long honeymoon to France. We stayed in Poilhes for a total of 20 days, and we were lucky enough to eat at Les Platanes MANY times!!! Les Platanes had been recommended by a good friend, and we are SO happy we took their advice. Dave and Amanda are such amazing and welcoming people! They treated us like old friends the entire time we were there. The food was spectacular every night. They only use the freshest ingredients available. I absolutely loved Amanda's fresh cut blooms out of her garden...it was a unique and colorful touch to every dish. The wine was also excellent! The entire menu was in French, and David was so sweet to go over it with us multiple times. The dining area outside is so sweet. It feels a little secluded with all of the beautiful trees surrounding it. We really can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant AND the owners. It would be the first place I would recommend in the Languedoc-Roussillon area!
An afternoon lunch with friends and family , or evening meal you won't find a nicer little spot. Lovely simple menu with beautifully prepared and presented food. Comforting, fresh and delicious. ( the pulled pork main dish is mouthwatering ). Kids menu options available. Well worth a visit even on a hot summer's afternoon as the trees offer shade in the warm breeze.
Our fourth visit to this delightful restaurant located in an enchanting ville near to Canal Du Midi. Always an interesting menu, locally sourced, great cooking, beautifully presented. Today, loved the rillettes de sardines and the best panacotta I've ever eaten... A la prochaine .....
We stopped by for lunch at this lovely restaurant in a sleepy French village. It was delicious and such good value for money. I highly recommend for a long and leisurely lunch!
