Les Volcans - Tisch reservieren

Unfortunately I have to say that the meal we had at Les Volcans was arguably one of the worst ever. The beer was sour and stale and so for the first time in his life my husband was not able to drink it. My Cantal...Tart which is a speciality of the region was heavy, swimming in melted cheese with completely raw pastry, so much so that the fat seeped out onto the meagre pieces of green salad on the side. We persevered and ordered another speciality, the ‘ Cornet de Murat’. This a cone of sweet pastry with a filling. We thought that one with apple purée and the other with creme de Myrtilles would be tasty. Well, the apple purée was completely tasteless out of a tin and the creme de myrtilles also had an artificial taste. It was mentioned on the menu that these were homemade! The gentleman in charge was unfriendly and unhelpful. We decided we couldn’t be bothered to confront him and left as quickly as possible. C’est la vie’.

nous avons passé 4 jours dans cet établissement, 4 jours super, tout y est la gentillesse des propriétaires leur disponibilité l'excellence des repas (chou farci excellent d'ailleurs tous est bon ) bravo à la cuisinière qui ne ménage pas ses efforts pour nous satisfaire, la qualité des chambres très propres et joliment décorées nous n'oublierons pas les instants enrichissant passés à discuter avec le propriétaire qui connait très bien sa région et vous donne envie de revenir pour la découvrir un peu plusil ne faut pas oublié non plus la jeune fille qui est au service et qui est très agréable et très gentille, c'est un plaisir d'être service avec le sourireil y aurait encore beaucoup de choses à dire, nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour merci

visited this hell hole last week ,one of the worst meals I have ever had the misfortune to eat in any restaurant in France . I ordered the salmon dish ,it tasted quite simply like any supermarket boil in the bag I have no...idea what the sauce was ,completely tasteless ,probably came from the same boil in the bag ,it was served with a lump of grey mush ,with some resemblance to potato . My wife had the misfortune to order the chicken which was greasy ,and tasteless . An insult to French cooking. I think the chef learned his trade in Mcdonalds ,and clearly learnt very little . It was also very expensive ,much better value for money elsewhere in Murat ,I do not mind paying high prices for good food ,but high prices for rubbish is not acceptable ..

Had dinner here during our visit to the area. It was good wholesome local fare, well cooked and tasty. Great service and helpful waitress who answered our questions about unfamiliar dishes. Small intimate atmosphere, very friendly and enjoyable.

Not a good meal at all, it was the kind of food you would get at a greasy spoon cafe in the UK. Very overpriced and poor quality food and wine, tasteless, unattractive and I imagine it was precooked and reheated.
