Life Alive Organic Cafe

My friend and I had lunch here a couple of days ago. We ordered 1 bowl of shiitake udon and 1 shiitake wrap. The soup of the shiitake udon tasted like cardboard soaked in rain for too long. Even that would have tasted more flavorful from all the acid in the atmosphere. The udon was too chewy and did not soak in any of the soupy cardboardy flavor. My friend is a man of great honor and doesn’t like wasting food but everything changed after he took his first bite of the shiitake wrap. The Agni Kai was lost and he is now on his path to restoring his honor. As I wait for his recovery, I’m writing this review as a public service for those who might get enticed by the nice ambience of the restaurant from the outside.

Had yet another great meal at Life Alive (Brookline). The service has always been good, but Mo took it to another level for our family. There was a small mistake with my wrap and even though he was clearly quite busy, Mo personally saw to it that my sandwich be fixed in a jiffy all with warmth and a sincere wish that we have a good experience. The space is huge, bright, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Attention to detail is everywhere, from the ceramic ware to the top quality ingredients. We will return again and again.

I like life alive other branches , but this branch has the most inconsistent service. This is my second time trying it and my order wasn’t made according to the recipe at all. My blue ocean latte tasted so bad! They need to train their staff to follow recipes.
