Lombardi's On The Bay

I believe the restaurant was understaffed as we waited for a table despite having reservations. Too many people requesting sun room and overwhelming staff. We were seated outside and sat without even being bussed water for 20 minutes. We spoke to hostess who brought us inside. The waiter was wonderful and very obviously overrun. My pasta was undercooked. Usually love Lombardi’s but this experience was not the best.

We were not aware that lunch was not served on Sunday. It was not evident on website. Greeter at main desk was not pleasant, assuming a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. It left us with the impression that our patronage was not valued. Insofar as this was to be a birthday celebration, we decided to stay and make the best of things. We were further disappointed in limited selections and will probably not return.

Lombardi’s on the Bay never disappoints! The moment we arrived, the Maitre D’ greeted us and made us feel welcome. The bar staff was extremely attentive and our waiter was also. The food was outstanding as always which is why we return often.
