Loosbar - Tisch reservieren

We enjoyed a drink here on a mid-week evening, whilst on a few days' visit to Vienna, which was part of a trans-European holiday. As with most of the venues we chose whilst away on holiday, the Loos American Bar was selected from the Dorling Kindersley city guidebook. The Bar is located just off Kartner Strasse and being so close to the Staatsoper (Opera House) and other similar venues, could serve as a stop before or after a performance. Restoration work has allowed this period venue to ooze with character. Adolf Loos would hopefully be proud of the way the interior still creates a calm and handsome oasis for visitors to enjoy. The simple use of mirrors, glass, lighting, mahogany and marble is very impressive. Alhough there were tables to sit at outside, to sit outside would have been a missed opportunity. We enjoyed the dimly lit interior and watching the barmen at work - mixing cocktails and preparing all-manner of specialist drinks. I chose an American whiskey - so as to fully soak-up the experience! Their website may only be presented in German, but I say there is no need to research this Bar, just head there and see it and experience it for yourself!

this bar is an absolute must. they shouldn't go by. the bar, furnished and designed by the famous architects loos, probably has one of the longest and most beautiful wooden counters of all bars and here you can easily mix with the super barkeepers the corresponding cocktail and tell yourself what nicely if you understand to seduce the keeper to a talk. what nice? - pardon, whatever nice in how may mean! should they lead the way to a certain place, then they go to the end of the bar and take the narrow spiral staircase down and: they will once again staunch, inner architectonally very special - also a bit tight, but you will get too good for a second place! in fatigue you can support yourself well on long, round wood of bar - but not " crash! " please!

Basis tripadvisor reviews we did try going to this place - TRY being an operative word. The GPS brought us right below where the board was put up however a single soul [ of the thousands of people walking on this street on a saturday evening ] knew about the entry to this placewhen we checked with our hotel lady, she guessed it was a outdoor seating..we not sure as of yet! - so caution - if you wanna go and just have GPS at your aid first call them , know exactly how to enter and go rather than wasting your efforts

Fantastischer Standort, mitten im Zentrum aber an einer kleinen Seitenstrasse. Die Preise sind etwas hoch aber gerechtfertigt, da die Cocktails frisch und mit ausgewählten Zutaten gemixt werden.
