Maggie's On The River

From Miami, but came here as I was just about to embark on a journey to Montreal with my boyfriend. We came on a Sunday around 1130 am and found the place to be pretty empty except for maybe two other tables. We were seated immediately and handed their extensive craft beer list, brunch menu, and regular menu. My boyfriend never gets to eat brunch so he had his heart set on ordering something from that menu while I browsed through everything.<br/ <br/ We both decided to start with the fried cheese curds (classic to the area, I know) which were definitely cooked to my liking and I really enjoyed the home made sauce that they served with. My boyfriend went with the Diablo Benny a side of corn beef hash. He loved his and devoured it quickly. We shared the corn beef hash, both finding it to be good. I went for the ghost reaper burger and absolutely loved it. First off, it was huge and secondly, as a thai girl, I love that they really didn't skimp out on the heat it was a nice fire to start my day!<br/ <br/ I would come back the next time I'm in Watertown because I do like that the porch over looks the Black River and the decor definitely has comfort pub vibes that I loved.<br/ <br/ IG: @KFitzEats

The best food in this town...... My daughter and I went to Maggie's today for lunch (3/10/12) and the food was fantastic.....I give them 5 stars out of 5 stars. We started with the crazy combo appetizer, I had the ultimate turkey club and my daughter had the Tuscan chicken flat bread and we shared the fried Twinkie desert and it was all awesome. The atmosphere was calming, yet energetic. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. Their menu is so different than anything I have seen in this town. We came from a city that has all kinds of different foods and we were really disappointed that there wasn't anything like what we were used to here…… well the search is over and we will go back. I highly recommend Maggie's on the river.

While in Watertown, this was one of our favorite spots. Usually great service with a good selection of burgers and brews. If you're in the area, highly recommend you stop in and check it out.
