Mamoun's Falafel

It doesn't look like that, but this falafel sandwich is served in a pita bread just right. Delicious warm falafel, crisp iceberg salad, just the correct amount of tomatoes and a creamy tahini-based sauce. Not yet convinced? Perhaps the price, at 5 dollars that could only be one of the cheapest and convenient meals you can get. Just what I would do differently is to take my sandwich to eat it at Pier C Park.

A minty iceberg lettuce salid, lovely baba ganoush, hot falafel (yum), exotic hummus, and warm pita, for less than $10! Oh, and spiced olives. A delightful combo. There were stuffed grape leaves too, but they may have come from a can. Good, but not fresh tasting.

I ordered the falafel plates and it was totally vegan!! came with four/five falafels, rice, salad and beet! You can also order the falafel in a salad (i believe? or a sandwich! good food and decent prices!!

Everything here next to the meat, the garlic sauce and the feta is vegan! The pastries are also vegan as honey is actually just a sweet syrup.

I was told that her pita was made with eggs. Just a head up. Not sure if it's at all locations, but they told me about this Hoboken.
