Manhattan Bagel

I do not try to leave negative reviews, but this should be shared. I visited this place frequently in recent months, but not after yesterday. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. Since I'm close to the coffee station, I notice that from the 4 women behind the switches that made orders, one of them has made orders. I look at this woman, the bare hands grab bagels from the toaster and rub the crumbs on her apron. Then she continues to spread cream cheese on the bagels without gloves. I watch the three other women talking around them. Nobody said anything or took care of it. I saw the interaction for a little hope that one of their employees would tell her something, but nothing. She just made orders with bare hands. I pointed out to the cashier that she makes food without gloves. Only then did women start screaming? Nina, Nina no? Then they started to make the orders again. I told the cashier I was disgusting and didn't want the bagel anymore. She seemed upset that I said that. Did?t offer me a refund, just a bad look. I was so uncomfortable and disgusting that I just left. It won't come back.

Honestly, I'm surprised this place has so high reviews. I thought the bagels weren't the star of NJ/NY Bagels. My order was edible, but not life changed like my other typical Bagel spots in NJ. I waited for my order and ate it two minutes later, but somehow it wasn't hot. My bagel was not roasted and there was no salt or pepper on my eggs, all I have indicated in my order. Needless to say, I drive the extra distance to my typical places. The outside seats were beautiful.

Surprisingly really good bagels and sandwiches. It's a chain, so I wasn't expecting any miracles, but the bagels were super fresh, prices were good, and they had really good coffee.
