Good place for sandwiches, meats, and other authentic Italian foods. I recently tried some of the frozen soups and they were pretty vile. I?d highly advise to stay away from them?especially the chicken and the Italian Wedding soup. I could be wrong, but there doesn?t seem like much quality control as far as the freshness of the soups are concerned. There are no dates on the containers, so who knows when they were actually made and for how long they have been sitting in the freezer. The Italian Wedding soup and the chicken soup were extremely disappointing and not worth the purchase. I tossed both of them in the trash and had no qualms about it. The Italian Wedding soup tasted off and was quite disgusting, to be frank. Other than that, their frozen dinners are pretty good and their sandwiches are satisfying. They also have a lot of nice Italian desserts and sweets that you don?t see in many places, other than Italy itself. Overall, I?d recommend to check the place out as long as you heed my advice.
The 7-day appetizers ordered. The chicken marsala had no marsala and the chicken francaise was terrible. The chicken was so hard to even try with a steak knife to cut it does not work. I had to throw everything away. The meatball parm was tasteless. The penne in vodka sauce was dry as bones. The only good dinner was the eggplant parm and that was just okay. I called and Chris sent me two chicken dinners and they were the same. It cost me $60 and what a waste of money. You should find a new cook/cook. I wanted to talk to Michael, but he was never there. I will not order these meals again. Too bad because the sandwiches are pretty good. Last year a wet mozzarella bought and it was mad. I'm sorry, guys for the bad evaluation.
I can't say enough about the service I received at Matera. My business hosts a meeting in The Loft, which is her event room upstairs, twice a month, so I have the owner's personal contact details. My friend ordered food from the store, but before he got the opportunity to pick up the order he had to deal with with a family emergency, and the store closed. I called the owner and someone met me in the store to make sure that the food was freshly cooked to fulfill the order of my friend. Not too many companies offer so extraordinary service more! Thanks, Matera's and your great staff!
Some of the best sandwiches, cheeses and deli products I've ever had. Definitely recommend when you are local, or just walk to park I'm looking for a delicious lunch.
