Mcloone's Boathouse

We’ve been dining a McLoone‘s for a few years now, but stopped going about two years ago because the menu wasn’t updated and the service was poor. We tried it again this weekend, and while the menu had some nice updates, the service was very poor. It seems that it is a mixture of servers being too overwhelmed and lack of positive attitude. I would recommend that management put in some operational guard rails so that servers don’t become overwhelmed, or hire more staff to accommodate for the large influx of people. I would also recommend that the customer service job aspect of being a server be reevaluated, meaning if you are not a people person then you should not be working as a server. McLoone‘s has so much potential, but it falls short of being a gem.

I had asked for a round table for 10 adults when I confirmed my reservation. I was told it wasn't a problem. When we arrived, the table was set and we were fed to a long table. When I asked about the round table, I was told that it was not possible... We arrived at 3:00 and sat. We placed our food orders and our meals did not arrive until 3 pm; this is a long wait for lunch. Geneva (our server) was wonderful and the food was good.

I'm here early. Buffet was hot and cold bar was fresh. Food was regularly changed Wait staff was great. Must not wait for service they were on their game food was delicious and plentiful

I ordered the red snapper for a duck. The fish was over boiled and potatoes were dry and consisted very chewing. No satisfactory food.

We sat outside looking at the reservoir was a wonderful experience
