Melys Mexican Cuisine

Mely 's was absolutely busy when I arrived, and the owner was all over the place trying to keep customers satisfied. When she got the chance to check on my take, she immediately apologized for the wait, which wasn 't bad considering she was the server, waitress, bussed tables, rang out customers, handled the call in orders, and handled the customers that came in to place 'to go ' orders. She was a whirlwind of movement, and yet not one complaint from anyone in there. She was simply amazing! Now the food was flavorful, fresh, and great. Seeing I love tacos, I would 've liked them to be a bit bigger, but the steak and shrimp were seasoned so well, I didn 't mind ordering more to get my fill. The horchata was cool and refreshing, and plan on going back to try other menu items.

Upon walking in, my sister and I were met by two super sweet, welcoming women. The place itself inside looked nice, and it was a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was equally as sweet. They made us feel good to be there. Then, omg, the meat in the tacos was just so soft and tasted like it had been marinating and stewing for hours. My sister ordered chicken tacos, I ordered one marinated pork and one ground beef. All were excellent. We also were served chips n salsa before ordering. We will definitely be returning.

Coming from the city to the suburbs it’s nearly impossible to find a good authentic Mexican restaurant (and this is coming from a Hispanic herself). I went here to grab my favorite when I’m feeling under the weather and they delivered! The pozole is great and now I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other food options they have. While I was in there I noticed one of the ladies (might’ve been the owner) greeting everyone by name and being very sweet. Huge plus! Thank you for an awesome experience!

New to the area and I was looking for some good Mexican food. I finally found something close by that’s actually good. I love the service, they made me feel like as if I have been coming there for years. Has a torta de al pastor. Side order of guacamole and a horchata. The salsa was delicious and had the right amount of spice to enjoy. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely awesome dishes, we had the Koko Loco burrito the Pechuga con queso fundido. By far the best we've had. It's our new favorite Mexican restaurant
