Visited early on a Thursday evening, just before things were generally getting going and within 20mims the place was full. So if you are not an early bird, consider booking. Food was excellent, with a good mix of modern tapas alongside some staples (but done...with a twist). Everything we had was very tasty (pork cheeks very good as was the shellfish), service was friendly and prompt (and helpfully corrected my poor Spanish with good English Wine suggestions were good. The menu is quite compact and that evening there were a couple of items that were unavailable but still a good diverse choice of dishes. Good value for money. Worth a visit. Bit of an oasis from some very lively bars just up the street.
Having read Tripadvisor reviews we decided on Meraki for a Valentine’s dinner and arrived when it opened (8pm). We were brusquely told that as we hadn’t booked we’d have to eat at the bar. Which was fine, apart from the fact that the restaurant remained...resolutely empty for the full hour we were there, so we sat uncomfortably on bar stools in an empty venue. The food was nice enough, but the whole experience was uncomfortable and perfunctory. The sense was that this place trades on its reputation and honestly, that’s not enough.
Best meal in our 4 days in Seville. Super friendly and helpful service to help guide you through the menu and wine list. The menu isn’t huge but what they have is excellent. We especially liked the sardines, tuna belly, octopus and the boar stew....Wine list was, similar to the food, small but excellent and well priced. The atmosphere is lively and fun without being overly noisy. There are a ton of good dining options in Seville but when we return we will absolutely go back to Meraki.
I came here because of the 4.6 review. But totally disappointed. I gave 2 star because of the nice staff. Rather than that, the food is nothing compared to other restaurants in Seville and other cities in Spain. And, oh my God, it took forever to get one small dish of tapas. We ordered sardine toast, smoke salmon potato salad, beef tartar.. and more that have came out yet. All three that came out were salty and not so fresh.
