Overall, the taste was good, but there were some minor quirks not related to the food. It doesn?t open until 12PM, it?s closed on Sundays Mondays, and the number of parking spaces and room to maneuver cars in the parking lot are inadequate. Due to COVID, the server owner? takes your order outside and then goes back in, locks the door, and prepares the food. It looked like a one person operation. So, if she?s in the middle of preparing an order or doesn?t see you at the door, you might have to wait a few minutes before she pops back out again. The seating is limited and it?s all outside for now. There is a retractable awning that provides shade for sunny days. I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich $8.99 . It was a satisfying one footer size matters! pita rolled with hot steamy roasted chicken drizzled with some delicious spiced creamy sauce. I liked how she crisped the pita in a panini press! It would have been better if the filling had more lettuce, tomato, and other things that they usually put in a shawarma turnip pickles, onion slices, tahini, banana pepper, harissa paste, etc. , but perhaps this was the Eritrean version? Anyways, I enjoyed it for what it was. Looking a couple tables over, however, I noticed that each lady ordered the shawarma salad $8.99 , not the shawarma plate $10.99 , which looked like a better deal than my sandwich, except that they did not have pita. Their salads had more lettuce and looked more filling yet had the same amount of meat! Maybe I?ll increase my fiber intake next time by ordering the salad for what would be the same price as a sandwich!
