I wouldn't normally go to -- much less recommend -- a Mexican restaurant in Switzerland, but I thought this one was surprisingly good. I am living for a month nearby, and there are only a few restaurants in this village, so it was a no-brainer for me to try it. The chips and salsa are always a good indicator of a Mexican joint's quality, and these didn't disappoint at all. They were warm, crisp and seemed freshly made, and the homemade salsa was nice. Not as spicy as I like, but that's pretty much always the deal in Switzerland.For dinner I ordered a steak burrito dinner, and didn't expect anything more than average. But man, was I surprised! The meat was really good and tender, and it was stuffed with all kinds of local fresh veggies as well. I would have to search pretty hard to find one this good in the USA, and it certainly wouldn't be as healthy as this one one. The service was warm and friendly. My Swiss-German is pretty terrible, and my server's English wasn't much better, so I tried Latin American Spanish. I think the hosts were pretty surprised and happy to use their mother tongue, like it had maybe never happened with a customer in the restaurant before.
Friendly and comfortable. Rafael is. Very accommodating and makes the best fajitas and Mexican dpecialties and drinks on requests ! Price is right. From time to time you might be lucky to enjoy one of his buffet à discretion featuring various theme countries like Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and others. Parking is available and a large covered smoking area outdoors.
Never expected such a treat in the middle of nowhere. Food was beyond excellent, the alambre was recommended and loved - fajita with melted cheese - so tasty! The drinks, of course with alcohol, actually had a kick. The first time I can say that for Switzerland. Will absolutely visit again.
A little mexican bar in a normal house. It is in the middle of a very small town and it is for me like a mexican bar in my living room. Nut it is growing over the last 2 years. Friendly guys there. Good for youngster to meet there in the evenin.
