So it’s Tier 4, nowhere to go and we decided on Mint for dinner. They closed down orders via Just Eat at 18:00. They only opened at 17:00! We ordered via their website, which they also closed down not long after. Everyone was thinking Mint for dinner on this most strange NYE evening (goodbye 2020). We waited FOUR (4) hours for our dinner and as always it was AMAZING and well worth the wait. The tikka masala was vibrant and the perfect balance of savoury and sweetness from the coconut. The breads fluffy and fresh. Food piping hot. Hubby did say his Rogan was slightly watery, probably due to time constraints. However, it was still flavourful. Mint has been our firm favourite since a friend recommended it back in 2018. We order from Mint once every month. Each dish is delicious and tastes distinctly different. I think after 2-3 years, we are finally figuring out our favourites. Happy 2021 all, may it be amazing!
Best Indian in Watford!!! Right i have tried a good few Indians take away around Watford since moving here a few years ago. Now i have walked past Mint a good few times but never ordered from there i’m not sure why not but I seriously regret not going here sooner. I personally think this place smashes every other Indian restaurant/ take away out of the water!!! The food is incredible I know this is a bold claim but just try it. I’ve always ordered through Uber Eats and was disappointed when my order was running late, i called Mint to ask when my delivery would be made and the chap on the phone was so polite and friendly and said he would get my order to me ASAP and he was good to his word. Please give this place a try the food is fantastic friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Having switched off from POB over the last few weeks due to their smaller takeaway containers, inconsistent quality, not valuing long time customers and fake TA reviews, I was recommended Mint by a few locals. My new favourite. The minuses: grotty little takeaway foyer. The pluses: Great fresh food, good pricing and the ability to pay online and prebook my delivery in the daytime: and it turns up on the doorstep on time. Love it. Strongly recommended. The dhansak is perfect and the bhajias crispy. Ordered by phone last week from workplace and asked for food in 10 minutes for collection and they managed to have it ready despite being busy.
Recommended by a neighbour and never looked back. They recommended any lamb dish to be precise but all meat dishes have been superb. Had 2 favourite Indians prior to this in Courtlands drive but both have lost it. this beats all in my opinion.
