This restaurant is perfectly situated at the end of the road in Solalex, with spectacular mountains rising up away from it on three sides and the music of cow bells reverberates around the valley. Not unsurprisingly it is closed for the winter between October and May. It's well worth calling to book and to make sure they are open. Staff are able to converse well in English and are perfect hosts, showing off local delicacies as well as explaining the menus. The menu is hand written and looks like it changes regularly. Everything here is fresh, and cooked to order, and the tastes reflect that. Highlight of the meal was the home made ice cream flavoured with Asperule Odorante or in English Sweet Woodruff. Made that morning, it was crisp, light and refreshing. For the quality of food and service, and certainly compared to other Swiss restaurants, the prices are very reasonable. I fully intend to return with more friends to experience this exquisite gem.
