If you find yourself in Plymouth and like me, you think a cooked breakfast is one of the best meals of the day you should head to Monty’s on the Barbican (opposite the Pavers Shoes building). The cooked breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time it was freshly cooked to order with high quality and well cooked bacon, sausage, poached egg, mushrooms and grilled tomato. The coffee was very good too. The staff were attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating my requests to change some of the items within the cooked breakfast.
was in monty’s for evening christmas and recently abandoned a work meal. this is an excellent place for private dinner parties as they open their doors after normal hours and they only provide them. there is a minimum of 21 but a fabulous place for special birthdays etc. the 3 course menu options for each taste and the eating was absolutely delicious at both places I visited. the personal is extremely helpful and nothing is too much annoying. I want to try their day menu, but if it's like the evening events I know I won't be disappointed
We visited the N.M.A in Plymouth for my Grandson’s 1st Birthday and walked across to The Barbican to find somewhere for lunch, we came upon Montys and I have to say it was excellent, the food was hot and fresh, the staff were great and kindly set up a high chair for the little one, all in all it was a great choice and I would happily go again and recommend it highly.
My wife and I went there for lunch with our dog. We were made to feel welcome. We ordered bubble and squeak with fried eggs and bacon, and they were great. It was very well priced, and we would go back.
