Been there over the weekend and after having a great walk in the forest nearby we decided to have lunch break with some friends and our kids in the cute restaurant just next to the beautiful lake. The service was very friendly and the food delicious. My friends took the Wiener Schnitzel and i got the fried aubergines with goat cheese. Both very tasty and nicely decorated on the plate. The restaurant is fully smoking free and very comfortable and roomy. They have a plenty of local stuff, but also some other more not traditional dishes. The price level is normal i would say and you get for what you have paid. I can really recommend the restaurant also because of the amazing panorama view that you have sitting behind the huge glasses. Next time we stay in Mösern we definitely go there again.

This lake is about a 90 minute walk from Seefeld through the forest, or a short drive. Parking is free although limited in space. Favoured by locals it is a large lake set amongst the mountains. Ideal for swimming or just relaxing amongst beautiful scenery. Many families bring inflatables to use on the lake and have favourite picnic spots. There is a cafe/restaurant at the waters edge selling reasonably priced food and drink. A beautiful setting.

Sitting overlooking the lake, the Seestube is decorated in classic Austrian style, and all the better for it. Frequented by hikers, strollers and walkers, it offers standard Austrian fare beautifully cooked. The cart of freshly made desserts was tempting, as was the choice of soups. Toilets were immaculate, and the overall impression was one of care from the Austrian family owners.

This restaurant has a terrace overlooking the Moserer See and is open most of the year. I last visited on St Stephens day in the snow when they made this single hiker most welcome with some delicious potato soup. Also worth a mention is the cake on offer. Great interior with picture windows so you can make the most of the view.
