Die Grotte ist nicht leicht zu finden, sie liegt an einer kurvigen Straße oberhalb von Losone. Es gibt einen überdachten Bereich mit Steintischen, um draußen zu sitzen, aber an dem Abend, als wir kamen, war es zu kalt. Der Restaurantbereich ist im typischen Tessin-Stil gehalten und bietet alles, was man braucht würde im Zimmer und an der Wand erwarten. Die Kellnerin war freundlich. Auf der Speisekarte stehen typische Tessiner Spezialitäten und das Risotto und das Osso Bucco, die wir gegessen haben, waren ausgezeichnet. Die Weinkarte war auch anständig, also entschieden wir uns für einen lokalen Wein. Da die Grotte in einem Tal liegt, würden wir das nächste Mal im Sommer wiederkommen, wenn die Luft am Abend wärmer ist, um draußen in der Nähe sitzen zu können ein Bach.
Just the walk from the parking lot to front door makes the Grotto worth it. It felt like walking home to see your family. The difference is that my family could never cook food this amazing. The four of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. Upon tasting our own dish, we had to try each other's to see if they were just as delicious. They were. The service was an awesome mix of professional elegance and homespun warmth. When we finished our meal, the owner/chef came out to ensure that we had enjoyed ourselves. His genuine interest in our experience and the pride in his work was apparent in our conversation. You would be hard pressed to find another restaurant to match the exceptional quality of the food, service, and location of the Groto Mulin di Cioss.
From the start of this season this grotto has new owners, Peter the cook and Marian the lady of the house.We were there a evening in June, to cold to sit outside, The inside of the restaurant is surly not our style, but we were welcomed by a very friendly lady. I had chicken in a special way as starter very tasty. After that my wife had the Trout fume which was really superb, and I had the lam rack also very good and tasty.we had really a good evening and were both surprised by the good quality of the food.service was good and friendly.To arrive just follow the sign with the name of this grotto you can't miss it!
Jemand sagte, dass Grotten in der warmen Jahreszeit gute Zufluchtsorte seien. Nun, nicht nur und insbesondere nicht in diesem Fall. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass das Mulin di Ciöss kein typisches Grotto ist, in dem Sinne, dass das Essen und der Service auf einem höheren Niveau sind, vielleicht liegt es daran, dass die neuen Besitzer so tolle Gastgeber sind, vielleicht liegt es daran, dass alle, einschließlich Ihrer Haustiere, es sind immer herzlich willkommen, oder liegt es an der gemütlichen Atmosphäre und der tollen Dekoration für diese Feiertage?
