Was in the area, walked past and just thought we'd give it a try for lunch because there was a lack of decent options in that stretch of Yonge St. So glad we did and we'll definitely be going back. We ordered the kalamari, a spanakopita, a vegetable moussaka, and a chicken souvlaki dinner. They were all absolutely delicious. Gutted I didn't take photos like I usually do because our meals were amazing and looked nothing like the photos from others reviewers.The chicken dinner came with simply cooked rice, potatoes and vegetables but they were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. The simple dressing on the fresh salad leaves was so good.The moussaka was really tasty and came with lots of fresh salad. The complimentary pitta, one per customer, is a nice touch. Staff were really pleasant. As mentioned by other reviewers, portions are huge, which we love, but we still had to take away some leftovers and the staff were more than happy to package them up for us. In the short time we were there we saw a few regulars in the restaurant which is a good sign, and it looked like they must phone ahead to place their orders as they were served within minutes of sitting. A great idea!It's not a fancy place to look at but it is spotlessly clean throughout and has a nice big patio out front which must be great in the summer months. One tip to the owners, the glasses of coke could be bigger, unless it was free refills and we were not told.We live the other side of the city but will but this place will be worth the journey for another visit soon.
I made an online reservation at Mykonos for an evening in December. I asked for a "quiet table." The restaurant kindly phoned me to let me know that a large group would be eating there that night, and the place would NOT be quiet. I decided to take a chance on the place anyway, and I'm glad I did.The service was very attentive and helpful. The servings are so large that we did not order a lot of food. We first shared a tray of pita triangles with three dips--hummus, tzatziki, and eggplant--which also came with cucumber slices and black olives. It was absolutely delicious, and we were brought more pita bread when we ran out.We then ordered a Greek salad, but I knew my companion and I could not eat a lot, so I ordered one to share. The restaurant split the salad between two plates. Everything on the salad was fresh and tasty. Neither of us could finish our servings, they were so large.We each had a glass of wine--mine a Chilean white, my companion's a Chilean red.All in all, we had a wonderful dinner. We had been given a booth, and the large group that was also dining that evening did not compromise our enjoyment of the evening. I don't live in Toronto, but if I did I would be going back to Mykonos regularly! Highly recommended.
The chairs are not super padded and the candles are not real,, but WHO CARES!If you want AMMMAZING soups that taste HOMEMADE.. you go to Mykonos. Call ahead to make sure the LENTIL soup is even available. The Chicken Lemon Rice,,, OMG,, Go get some! The burger is BIG! Not some dinky frozen patty that shrinks to nothing. (get half salad and half fries!) Oh, and if you are thinking about having soup with your meal ,TRUST ME, get the small soup!! The regular size is HUGE!Laid back friendly and good service. Fresh pepper offered at the table. If you want salt, ya gotta ask! Generally clean and attitude free environment.
Le service était tout à fait cordial et la carte variée sans tomber dans le piège du "trop à offrir". L'assiette de gyro était tout à fait délicieuse et la portion amplement rassasiante (même en small pour quelqu'un qui a de l'appétit !). Concernant le prix, ce n'est pas totalement bon marché, mais cela reste correct pour une ville comme Toronto.
